Subscriptions for 2013

Dear Member, Your membership subscriptions for Great Torrington Golf Club become due on 1st January 2013, and we enclose with this letter the new levels of subscription rates which have been set by the Board of Directors.

It would be appreciated if you could pay your subscriptions at the earliest opportunity, and by 31st January 2013 at the very latest.

The Board of Directors have again made every conceivable effort to keep the budget for 2013 as tight as possible. It is hoped that the club can weather the current economic difficulties and remain positive that we can continue to offer an exceptional course and club facilities at great value.

As in previous years we continue to offer members the opportunity to pay their subscriptions not just by one full payment at the start of the year, but, also by two cheque instalments.

The latter can be done by presenting two cheques, one dated 1st January 2013, and the second cheque, post dated to 1st July 2013.

It must be remembered that members entering this scheme are entering into a legal agreement to pay their full twelve months subscription.

Levies: Included within the fees are the levies we have to pay on your behalf for each member to the various golf bodies. It is worth noting that many clubs charge these mandatory levies in addition to their advertised subscription rates. We include them automatically in your fee.

Insurance: As before, we have included a mandatory Insurance paid for within your subscription for each member of our club.

As a member you will automatically be insured for the following:

Personal Liability - Up to £5,000,000 whilst playing golf at any Club in the UK and up to 120 days abroad.

Accidental Damage - Up to £10,000, irrespective of legal liability.

Personal Accident- Up to £15,000

Club Subscription Re-Imbursement - Up to £1,000, following an accident playing golf resulting in being unable to play for more than sixty consecutive days.

Hole-in-One - Reimbursement of a bar bill up to £65 for a Hole-in-One achieved in an official Medal or Stableford Competition. May we wish you a happy and healthy years golfing ahead.

Reduced rate memberships - Proof of age is required before discount offered.

Note: To qualify for the reduced subscription the qualifying member must have been a member for five continuous years on 31st December 2008.

Full Membership (if aged over 80 on 1st January 2013) £150:00

Full Joint Membership (if either aged over 80 on 1st January 2013) £300:00

Young Person -18 to 25 years old (Not in full-time education) £175:00

Student - Over 18 in full-time education £125:00

Junior Membership Under 14 on 1st ,January 2013 £55:00

Under 18 on 1st ,January 2013 £95:00

Half year Payments (to include a finance fee of £5) Two payments MUST be received together, and members are reminded that they are entering into a contract for twelve months membership.

Full £380 + £5 = £385:00 two cheques for £192:50

Reduced £367 + £5 = £372:00 two cheques for £186:00

Joint £734 + £5 = £739:00 two cheques for £369:50

Reduced Joint Over 70 £710 + £5 = £715:00 two cheques for £357:50

Over 80 £300 + £5 = £305:00 two cheques for £152:50

ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE FOR TWELVE MONTHS ONLY, AND, NO REFUNDS ARE OFFERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Should any member have a Unique ID number issued by another club, could you please inform the Club Secretary.

It would be useful if members could advise the Club Secretary of their Email address to enable the Club to provide important information from time to time. Any Email address provided would not be made available to anyone else, and, will be held securely by the Club.

Please note that the 2013 Annual General Meeting for Great Torrington Golf Club Ltd will take place on Thursday the 28th November at the Club House at 7 pm
