Our Club team narrowly lost out on progressing to the next round of the 2015 competition, being beaten by the host club Saunton at the 1st extra hole.


Tony Gooch won 3/2

Mike Mcleod lost 1 down

Paul Boundy halved

Reece Andronik lost 1 down

Craig McConnachie won 4/2

This left the match tied at 2 1/2 to 2 1/2 

Craig McConnachie, however, lost at the first hole in a play-off.

Our Club team defeated Saunton to progress to the Final of this years event.


Stephen Evans Loude & Colin Bettiss won 5 & 3 against   Jim Capron & Ricky Burrow

Ian Croxford & James Harding lost 6 & 4 against Darren Thorne & Paul McGurne

Tim Williams & Bill Pyke won 6 & 5 against Colin White & Jordan Wells


resulting in a 2 / 1 win to Great Torrington


On a fine day your Club Mens Captain Grahame Moore and Tim Williams (Immediate past Captain) accumulated an excellent  37 points on the East Course and Past Captains Trevor Reynolds and Geoff Green managed a 33 points total on the West Course to bring a Great Torrington team into fourth place in the Devon Golf Captains Team Jamboree.


There were 168 golfers in the field making forty-four teams representing twenty Devon clubs.

Great Golf North Devon

The Club is over 100 years old - being founded in 1895 - giving us a great golfing tradition.

You will find our North Devon golf course is located in one of the prettiest parts of North Devon, with some truly spectacular views, yet we are only 5 minutes from the centre of Great Torrington.

The golf course is a true challenge even to the most experienced and skilful players - it is a par 64, 9 hole course, with very different tee positions for the second nine giving it a markedly different character.

Visitors and societies are very welcome and we hope that they will enjoy our course and our hospitality.
